Back from France and moving to new town.

This time I have a rather good excuse for not writing this long. Quite a lot has happened over the past few months. Firstly I traveled to Paris, France. Nothing much to talk about it, since it was just a tourist trip. Something that I have not done for a long while. Here is a photo of the Eiffel tower. I bet everyone posts one of these.

A picture made around 6 AM

Tho one of the best things about our journey was not the steel monster of Paris but the ComicCon that we happened to visit!

Got these two from the CC//AE

The next big thing that has happened is my cooperation with Robootika.ee where I will start writing electronics tutorials for primary school students in Estonian. It seems that there are no tutorials or introductional courses for young people starting with robotics and electronics. It’s rather sad and I intend to change that. The tutorials will start with introducing the transistor, 555 timer, motors, beam robotics and then ends up with micro-controllers and other complicated projects.
The idea for that grew from my work in University of Tartu when I was working on introductory course in electronics. It seems that people have no idea where to start. Introductions to the field in their mother tongue will provide universities with more competent students and the Estonian maker movement could actually get a start again.

And now to the third big thing.
I moved from Tartu to Tallinn. At the moment I am working in Eli Ldt and getting myself acquainted with the UAV development. I also had to move my laboratory temporarily to the new apartment. It’s rather convenient.

Not very fancy, but it'll have to do for a while.

I got a new PC that can actually do graphics (unlike my Lenovo X201 tablet – which still is an ultraportable workhorse). But ultraportable is never a PC …
I have got a few projects in the works at home that I will talk about pretty soon.

But until then – best of luck to all of you.
